How we support....
Whilst much of the funding for the Army Cadets in Bucks comes from the MOD there are some items that are never funded as well as support to cadets who face personal financial hardship. This is where the League comes in.

Camps and Weekends
Cadets who are in receive free school meals are supported by the League to take part in weekend activities and annual camps. While free school meal funding helps to cover some of the costs, the League provides additional support to ensure that every cadet has the opportunity to participate and benefit fully - so no one misses out.

Music
Thanks to a generous grant The Lemford Foundation, the Inkerman Band has been able to purchase new uniforms, instruments and essential equipment - ensuring its members are fully equipped to perform, develop their skills, and take pride in their appearance.

Adventurous Training
Each year, the League contributes funding towards the cost of the Adventurous Training (AT) package at camp. This programme includes a wide range of activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, mountain biking, abseiling, and gorge scrambling, among others. By supporting these experiences, the League helps ensure that cadets can take part in exciting, confidence-building opportunites they might not otherwise have access to.

Skydiving
Cadets are offered a wide variety of exciting opportunities beyond their regular training, helping to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork. One of these opportunities is through the Army Parachute Association, where cadets complete specialist training before, weather permitting, taking part in a tandem skydive from an incredible 13,500 feet.
To ensure that every cadet who wished to participate had the opportunity to do so, the League matched the fundraising efforts of a group of cadets, helping to cover the costs of the experience. As well as providing an unforgettable challenge, the activity also contributed towards the cadets achieving their 3-Star Adventurous Training qualification.

NCO Christmas Mess night
Before Christmas, the League proudly contributed towards a formal three-course dining experience for the Battalion NCOs. The evening was organised by the Battalion as a thank you to the cadets for their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the year — recognising the important role they play in teaching, leading, and setting a positive example for the junior cadets to follow.
Prepared by a 5-star chef, the cadets enjoyed an exceptional meal while experiencing the traditions and etiquette of a formal military mess dinner. The evening proved to be a memorable and well-deserved reward for all their efforts over the past year.

So how can you help?
You can support the League in a number of ways — whether through a one-off donation, a regular subscription, or by becoming a member. For just £5 per year, you can join the League as a member, or choose Life Membership for a one-off payment of £50.
There are many other ways to help too. Perhaps you have a talent you could use to raise funds, or a personal challenge you would like to undertake in support of the League. If you own a business, or know of a company that may be willing to contribute, your support could make a real difference.
The League relies heavily on donations from private individuals, local businesses, and the wider community to continue providing valuable opportunities and support to cadets. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps ensure this important work can continue.
